為因應病毒與駭客的新威脅, 趨勢科技必須不斷開發新技術進行防毒。由於舊版本程式已無法整合新的技術，且為提供新版本用戶更完善的售後服務，因此趨勢科技即將會停止以下產品/版本的技術支援服務,包含: 電話, 線上提交案件,傳真服務以及此版本的程式元件與相關防毒元件的更新。
To prevent new threat of malware and hackers, Trend Micro continuously develops new technology of anti-malware. Owing to the new functions’ not being able to be fully integrated into the older versions of products, Trend Micro will stop technical support for the following versions of products in order to provide more complete service to customers. Please be noted that phone calls, on-line submissions, faxes, service packs, and pattern update service are all included.
